TEST PODALIS

Test Podalis

Date: 15.07.2024 - Dr. Giuseppe Orsi (Herd management, prophylaxis, CNCPS feeding, hygiene aspects, milk quality and rheology).

All three animals were treated once with ointment + TNT after hoof trimming. Animals No. 1 and No. 3 were unbandaged after 7 days and received no further treatments or bandages. Animal No. 2 was unbandaged after 15 days and also received no further treatments or bandages. It is important to observe how wound healing varies depending on how long the lesion remains bandaged.

SUBJECT 1: Deep hoof wall ulcer. After 7 days of treatment (fig. 2), the wound is saturated with granulation tissue. After 21 days of treatment (fig. 3), the ulcer has reduced in size but does not show corneal tissue in the central ulcerated area. According to the podiatrist, the animal probably hit a structure in the barn, causing detachment of the growing tissue.

Soggetto 1

SUBJECT 2 (az. -530): Hoof wall ulcer in the bulb area, less deep than the previous case. After 15 days of treatment (fig. 2), corneal regeneration is very good. After 21 days (fig. 3), the wound is approaching full healing.

Soggetto 2 (az 530)

SUBJECT 3 (az. 33): Deep sole ulcer. After 7 days of treatment (fig. 2), there is good granulation tissue formation, almost filling the ulcer.

2 Soggetto 3 (az. 33)

CONCLUSIONS: The use of Podalis Unguento + TNT Podalis bandage (100% biodegradable wipe 10×10, 50 pcs.) promotes good healing, especially if the wound remains bandaged and protected for 15-20 days, which is necessary for corneal tissue growth.

Az 33 Dopo 15 Gg (2)

For az-33, after 15 days, results appear consistent with previous observations.
